Additional Encounters
The seven tests are by no means the only scenes that the players might encounter during the Test of Chaos. Several other unusual encounters, relating to NPC's or even forehsadowing on future tests might occur.
It's important to note that these scenes are entirely optional. If you feel the game is dragging then there's no need to include these scenes. On the other hand, if your players having a blast and are plowing through the content then toss them all in.
Survival of the Fittest
Location: Any
Related to: Zanatos Kell, the Test of Survival When: Anytime before the party's 4th successful test. Purpose: Foreshadowing the Test of Survival. The party being forewarned means they can plan a little, which might help them defeat Kell before he can even get to them. |

The streets in this part of town are relatively clear and easy to move through, which is why the running couple coming the opposite way seems odd. They look vaguely familiar - perhaps you saw the plume on the man's helmet at the introduction?
The reason they're fleeing rapidly becomes obvious - from around corner comes the massive form of a Wyvern, wings spread for balance. Guildmaster Black's mount. The man on top is almost unrecognizable, wielding a net and a pole with a rope rather than his usual weapons and bare chested. Black iron chains cover his torso and body. Still, something is being dragged behind the Guildmaster. Two more people.
Within seconds the Wyvern catches up, and the net flashes out, engulfing the man. Chain hooks onto armour and catches fingers and the warrior becomes hopelessly entangled. The pole reaches out and grabs the other adventure by the arm and Kell tightens the noose with a jerk. With both trapped, he glances at the party and grins. "Not your turn yet. Hurry up and pass, so we can play too." As suddenly as he came the Guildmaster is gone, dragging the four towards the gates at speed.
