The clothing makes the adventurer, and for most people, clothing is a simple necessity of life - it is either socially or environmentally required. Still, other than modesty, clothing can have a variety of interesting effects and uses.

Explorer's Outfit

Merchant's Outfit
Cost: 40sp Description: A successful merchant tends to show off their success in their clothing and garb. Effect: Add +5% to Barter and Diplomacy tests. |
Dancer's Clothing
Cost: 20sp Description: Swirling silks and clinging satins, the Dancer's clothing is a pleasure to see in motion. Cold-Weather Clothing
Cost: 50sp Description: Heavy furs and leathers meant to trap bodyheat during the coldest of weather. Effect: Reroll failed tests against Exposure from the cold. Warm-Weather Clothing
Cost: 50sp Description: Light, airy clothes designed to cool without exposing yourself to a harsh and unforgiving sun. Effect: Reroll failed tests against Exposure from the Heat. |
Elemental Clothing
Elemental clothing is magical clothing designed to be in in tune with an elemental plane. They tend to offer some minor abilities and benefits to their wearer. Each set of clothes comes in a small box and fits the owner when the box is opened, magically forming around the wearer into the form the wearer wishes. It can include - or exclude - theme accessories such as jewellery, footwear, gloves and hats at the wear's discretion.
Earth Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: Swirling patterns of mud, stone and gems make up this magic set of clothing. Effect: Earth clothing adds 1 armour against magic attacks. |
Fire Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: Formed of flame, smoke and ash this set of clothes often moves and swirls. Effect: Fire clothing deal 1 point of damage without armour to anyone grappling or being grappled by the target. |
Wind Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: A swirling robe of opaque storm born winds. Effect: Add +10% to escape grapples. |
Water Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: Whether wearable ice or opaque water this set of clothing is eye-catching. Effect: Add +5% to dodge. |
Nature Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: This outfit is made of leaves, vines, roots and branches - a glorious form of nature's abundance. Effect: Create enough food for 1 meal a day, forming any Basic foods. |
Light Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: Shifting forms of every colour and shade pattern the area around these clothes. Effect: Shed light as a torch constantly |
Shadow Clothing
Cost: 80sp Description: Greys, blacks, purples, blues and greens in midnight shades form this suit. Effect: Add +10% to Stealth. |

Some clothing options are less traditionally clothing and more decorative.
Body Paint
Cost: 20sp Description: Some societies and creatures prefer to decorate their skin or scales rather than their clothing. Body paint can be used to create a variety of effects and colours. |
Hair/Fur Dye
Cost: 5sp Description: Especially popular among the Awakened as a form of expression, these dyes can be used to colour hair and fur in almost any shade imaginable. |
Impressive Hat
Cost: 60sp Description: Large, grandiose and impressive, everyone loves a good hat. Effect: +5% to one kind of interaction test. |
Jewellery
Cost: Varied Description: Available as rings, necklaces, torques, diadems, bracelets and a dozen more designs, jewellery is a status symbol. Effect: For every 100sp worth of Jewellery worn gain a +1% bonus to interaction tests. This stacks with other item bonuses. |
Longcoat
Cost: 30sp Description: An impressive long coat is both warmings and has many pockets. Effect: Add 5 to carrying capacity. |
