So, things continue. Yeah, really. I'm not dead and I haven't forgotten. Mostly, I've done two things. First, we have images! Yes, they're AI art generated by Bing, but they help to give a little flavour to a bunch of stuff. You can even see the robot's idea of what I look like to the side there. It's not too far off... |
More importantly, some editing has been done on the archetypes, races and warrior talents, and the warrior talents are done! That is, if there is a talent there all the ranks are present. I'm sure some editing and balancing will need doing later. But still. Nice.

Hopefully, all the % marks in the rules, races and archetypes sections that aren't meant to be there are now gone. If you spot one, ping me.
OK, so the biggest thing to note is that Social Talents have been changed, and no longer inflict a penalty to the Attribute score they rely on if someone tries to use them without the Base talent. The base talents of some Talents has been modified to reflect, except the ones that are impossible without training. Some do now mention a penalty for not having the Talent, as it's possible to pick a lock without knowing what you're doing, but not easy. - Clarified the Possessed to hopefully make it easier to understand. - Changed the Possesor's Talents so it gains one Combat and one Social each level.
- Clarified the Treant Dryda Heritage. - Made a Version 2 character sheet with more space for Talent Info - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EhoeftG7kYmzRvGEfmxULcgb7Azb9narPKaKRZZUPEw/edit?usp=sharing - Clarified the Dark Body talent. - Added the level 3 Talent for Warform. - Added base damage for Natural Attack is no other damage is listed. - Changed Backstab from 1d10 to 1d5. - Added an additional talent to increase the damage again at rank 5. - Added the following Artificary talents - Master Crafted - Adds +5% and +2 to damage. - Intricate Fit - Add +1 to Armour and removes one penalty from armour. - Personally Crafted - Make the item in an unusual material. - A little bit Beastly - When using Bodily Enhancement gain an Animal Companion Enhancement as well - Added Rank 2 Talent for Familiars. - Added Rank 2 Talents for Crafting Food. social talents so they no longer half the attribute if rolled untrained. - Added Rank 4, 5 and 6 to Focused Talents. - New General Talents added. - Favoured Talent: Reduce the AP cost of one Talent. Favoured Spell: Add Half of - Wisdom modifier to one spell talent. - Added the Scout archetype - Changed Resilient in the Berserker Talents to Rank 5. Added Warp Spasm as the new Rank 4 talent. Clarified Vessel of Chaos. - Added Outlandish as a advantage, allowing people to spend luck to boost there Fellowship and there allies Stealth for one minute. - Friendly Eyes and Ears added as an advantage, spend luck to learn the location of people and items. - Foresight has been added as an Advantage, allowing luck to be spent once a day to act during an ambush or to avoid damage. - Added the Defend combat option, where you can accept a hit intended for an adjacent ally at the cost of 2 AP and no chance to dodge, parry or otherwise avoid the hit. - Added the Guardian advantage, giving people 1 additional armour when using the Defend option. - Added the Fearless advantage, granting two rolls and taking the better on fear-based effects. - Added Introvert as an Advantage, granting a 5% bonus when the character attempts something while alone. - Added Extrovert as an Advantage, granting a +1% bonus to one Attribute for every ally within 5 meters. - Added Prodigy as an Advantage, allowing the starting Attributes to go as high as 55. OK, a test game has been started, so that's fun. I've also added some new abilities, like Fury Casting for spellcasters who wanna fuel their spells with their emotions, and most of the combat talents have had some editing done.
Alright, if I've been big and brave then I've started inviting people to play and give feedback. If you have anything you can add shoot me an e-mail - [email protected] - swing by the Discord, give us some Feedback or even reply to this. I mean, I think that'll work. Let's see.
So, long year. Test of Chaos is done enough to run. A few more talents need doing, and some more of the specialist archetypes. But yeah. Guess I'm gonna have to try running a game soon.
Finishing up writing a game to test how the system works - a Test of Chaos - and so far it's going well, if a little slower than I'd like. Turns out writing up monster and NPC stats is both very easy and mentally draining, in some baffling way.
Mostly been fixing bits here and there, adding new stuff, plotting extra stuff, and working on a starting adventure to test things out in a fun fashion, along with the Bestiary so people have stuff to be heroic against.
OK, so everything is there. You can create a character all the way to level 20. Talents are there, races are there, basic archetypes are there. Sleepy.
Social talents are done, as are most of the races. Now for Magic talents.
